AUBURN – The Corporate and Community Services department at Central Maine Community College will offer “Supervising People: The Essential Skills for Leaders,” on Fridays from May 1 to June 5, from 9 a.m.-noon.

Cost of the program is $315 and includes workbooks and materials.

Topics include communication, coaching for improved performance, handling difficult employees, team building, and team problem-solving. For a complete description of the program visit www.cmcc.edu/training.

The series will be facilitated by Marylin Newell. Newell is an executive coach, seminar leader and registered counselor and the founder of Life Matters in Mechanic Falls. She started as an adjunct faculty member in 1988 with what is now Central Maine Community College and with the former Mid-State College. She was the academic dean and campus director at Mid-State College. She has served as president at Andover College in Portland and McIntosh College in Dover, N.H.
