Officer Bill Brochu is teaching the gang resistance program at the Lewiston Middle School. He talks about bullying, communication, and decision making. He hands out packets to each student to fill out when he is there. During the G. R. E. A. T. program there is a project for the kids to do that is due May 26, 2009. The project is a community service project; you have to volunteer in the community for six or more hours. You go to a place and work, volunteer and help them out in whatever they need. You could work at one place but if you wanted to, you could work at another place too. The volunteers take pictures to put onto a poster, a slide show, or you could write about what you did. This program is trying to get young kids to make good decisions and to help out people that really need the help.
