Even as the year winds down, the Lewiston High School Computer Club is still active.
The goal of the club, established in 2005, is to spread technology to the local community and throughout the school.
Already, the club has done a lot. Service activities have including refurbishing computers for families with young children, wrapping presents for the needy, sending items out to local soldiers in Iraq, and organizing LAN (Local Area Network) parties for the members and guests.
New members are welcome.
“We feel it is important to get the word about the club around the school to increase membership and community help,” says current president Megan Whipple, a senior.
The club still needs computers. Those who would like to donate computers to the club’s Families with Young Children program should contact Crystal Morris, 795-4144 ext. 2334.
