The following recalls have been announced:

– About 106,000 toaster oven broilers, made in China and imported by Haier America Trading LLC., of New York, because electrical connections in the products can become loose, posing electrical shock and burn hazards. The company has received two reports of minor burns, one report of a minor electrical shock, and one report of minor property damage. The recalled toaster oven broilers have the model number RTO1400SS. They were sold at mass merchandisers and specialty retailers nationwide from September 2006 through January this year. – Brent and Sam’s is recalling 31 cases of “Simply Enjoy” Brand Pina Colada White Chocolate Gourmet Cookies because they might contain pecans undeclared on the label. Those who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to tree nuts, or pecans, run the risk of serious or life threatening allergic reaction if they consume the product. The company said there have been no reported illnesses.

The recalled products were distributed to Stop & Shop stores in New Jersey, New York, New Hampshire, Maine, Connecticut and Rhode Island. The product is packaged in an individual metalized package, which is packed inside a 7 ounce net weight paperboard carton. Each carton has an open expiration code date of 1ASep 26 2009.
