AUBURN – A local man was injured Saturday morning when the motorcycle he and his wife were riding was hit by an SUV.

Scott Bussiere, 39, was listed in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit of St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center on Saturday night.

He was taken to the hospital with a head injury, police said. Bussiere’s wife, Susan Bussiere, suffered an arm injury, but was not taken to the hospital.

Scott Bussiere was not wearing a helmet, but his wife was, police said.

The SUV was driven by Paul Camire, 50, of Lewiston.

The crash occurred at 9:25 a.m. on Minot Avenue when Camire attempted to make a left-hand turn on the Hotel Road.

Police estimate $1,200 damage to Camire’s SUV, and $1,500 to Bussiere’s Yahama.
