DAMARISCOTTA – Beatrice (Weston) Patterson, 87, of Damariscotta, died peacefully April 21, in the loving care of her children and Cove’s Edge Staff of Damariscotta.

Bea was born in Mexico, on March 31, 1922, the daughter of Frederick and Loretta (Brown) Weston. She was one of 10 children and graduated from Mexico High School in 1941. She was employed by the Diamond Match Co. in Dixfield.

She married Kenneth C. Patterson Sr., April 24, 1942, and moved to Topsham. They later moved to Bath and raised their three children. She was a wonderful homemaker and cook, and briefly worked at Congress Sportswear of Bath.

The family loved to go camping and spent many years camping at Dummers Beach Campground on Lake Webb in Weld. There was always a summer outing to Old Orchard Beach Amusement Park with the kids, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters. After the children were grown, Ken and Bea were seasonal campers at Moody’s Island and Townline Campground in Nobleboro for many wonderful fun-filled years. Special friends and bonds were made during those days that have lasted through her life.

She loved cooking for her family, eating out and shopping and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Kenneth C. Patterson Jr. and life partner, Lonnie Kennedy, of Wiscasset, Sharon L. Maddocks of Bath and Pamela G. Campbell and husband, William, of Nobleboro; grandchildren, Angela Colucci of Brunswick, Troy Patterson of Nashua, N.H., Sean Maddocks and wife, Cindy, of Ohio, Shannon Campbell Fowler and husband, James, of Gorham, and Seth W.
