LEWISTON – Margaret L. Roberts, R.N., 75, of Rumford, died Monday, April 27, at the Central Maine Medical Center. She was a resident of Bernadine Street in Rumford.

She was born in Andover, on Jan. 1, 1934, a daughter of the late Clarence and Amy (Cole) Jodrey. She was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of 1951, and Central Maine General School of Nursing, Class of 1955.

She worked at Central Maine General Hospital from 1955 to 1957 and then the Rumford Community Hospital from 1957 to 1982, where she also taught certified nursing assistant courses and the Rumford Community Home from 1983 until her retirement in 1986.

She was married in Lewiston, on May 3, 1957, to the late Kenneth E. Roberts, who died in Rumford, on Oct. 8, 2008.

Survivors include her three sons, Douglas and his wife, Pamela, of Springvale, Donald and his wife, Anne, of Sidney and Dale and his wife, Lori, of Rumford; a daughter, Maj. Diane Smith, USAF and her husband, Maj. Chas Smith, USAF; eight grandchildren, Mary Louise, Jennifer, Hannah, Abigail, Breana, Brandon, Erin and Chase; and a sister, Alice Sennett of Rumford.

She was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Poch of Bow, N.H.
