AUBURN – Pauline Beatrice Cole, 75, of Farmington died peacefully after a long illness on Sunday, April 26, at Androscoggin Hospice House.

She was born in Skowhegan, on Oct. 19, 1933, the daughter of Favion and Evelyn (Perkins) Lashon. On March 3, 1951, she married the love of her life, Robert Cole. Together they raised three children at their home on the South Strong Road.

She worked at Foster Manufacturing and for many years in shoe manufacturing before retiring in 1999 from Franklin Shoe. She also worked parttime in housekeeping at Edgewood Rehabilitation and Living Center.

She was a member of the Fairbanks Union Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, camping, gardening, going to lawn sales, fishing, and trips to the coast.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert Cole; her two daughters, Linda Brown and her husband, Jim, of Farmington and Robin Cole of Portland; her brother, Favion Lashon Jr. and his wife, Betty, of Hyden, Ky.; five grandchildren, Michael Rackliffe of Phillips, Jobie Cole and his wife, Jamie, of Bronx, N.Y., Ryan Rackliffe and his wife, Jen, of Waterville, Christy Watkins and her husband, Harry, of Waterville, Nicole Olafson of Florida, and Kristin Cabe Rackliffe of Strong; three great-grandchildren, Taylor Rackliffe, Christopher Rackliffe and Paige Rackliffe, all of Strong; several nephews, nieces, cousins and aunts; and her sister-in-law, Margret Cole.

She was predeceased by her son, Robert Cole Jr.
