LEWISTON – Cornelia “Connie” T. Vincent Webb, 89, of Auburn, passed away on April 29 at Russell Park Manor, surrounded by her family.

She was born in The Hague, the Netherlands, on July 15, 1919, the daughter of Theodorus and Cornelia Geilings Vincent. She graduated from Teacher’s College at Koningsbosch, the Netherlands, and from the University of Maine in Orono, after she married Earle Webb in 1947 in Skowhegan.

They lived for four years in Norridgewock, where their oldest son Dwight was born. They then lived in Oakland for four years, where their daughter Deb was born, and then 48 years in Lewiston, where their youngest son Don was born.

She was employed as a teacher in the Lewiston School system for many years, retiring in 1978. She was a communicant of St. Philips Church, and for many years was a member of the Embroiderer’s Guild of America. She also belonged to the Androscoggin Retired Teachers’ Association and St. Philips Senior Citizens.

In 2001, she moved to Ann Arbor, Mich., where she enjoyed her daughter’s company. She loved her family and family get-togethers. Her hobbies were walking, exercising in the YMCA pool, reading, needlework, and knitting. In 2003, she moved back to Maine, and spent her last years at the Schooner Retirement Community in Auburn.

Survivors include her son, Dwight Webb of Lewiston; daughter, Debrah Webb of Ann Arbor, Mich.; son, Donald Webb and partner, Nancy Wawrzkiewicz, of Rochester, N.H.; brother, Wim Vincent of Kerkarde, Netherlands; grandson, Derek Webb and wife, Nicole, of Lewiston; grandson, Damien Cloutier and partner, Tanya Lewis, of Butler, Pa.; and great-grandchildren, Skyla, Brennan, Dante and Lilly.

She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years; and two brothers in the Netherlands.
