In my recent brush with fame I was amazed to find:
• There are a large number of people who read the newspaper and/or use the Internet.
• There are a large number of people who watch television.
• There are many kind and caring people.
I would especially like to thank the following: The security office at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, the Lewiston Police Department (Cpl. Matthew Cashman and Lt. Mark Cornelio), Amber Waterman and Mark LaFlamme of the Sun Journal, and the photographers and journalists from the three television stations. These people were all very kind, considerate and very professional.
I was overjoyed to see my beloved bicycle again after five days.
And I thank the public for the cards, phone calls and expressions of joy that I received from everywhere.
