Attending dinner
AUBURN – First Auburn Seniors will attend the annual anniversary dinner at Martindale Country Club on Wednesday, May 6. The doors will open at 11 a.m. and lunch will be served at noon.
There will be special pot of gold drawings. Mitch Thomas will present a musical program. A meeting was held on April 15 at the Community Center with President Pat Records presiding. Attendance drawing winners were Shirley Hawkins and Jean Corriveau; pot of gold, Suzanne Blanchard, Shirley Hawkins and Jeannette Gagne. Special prizes were won by Judy Holbrook and Barbara Hinkley. The prizes were donated by Records.
Grange degree
AUBURN – Members of Androscoggin Pomona Grange will meet on Wednesday, May 6, at West Minot Grange for a 6:30 p.m. supper. The fifth degree will be presented at the 7:30 meeting. Subordinate or other Pomona granges that have candidates waiting to take the degree are invited.
A 50/50 raffle and attendance drawing will be held. All Grange members are invited.
Legion to install
LISBON FALLS – Nelson-Conley Post 66, American Legion, will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, at the Slovak Hall upstairs meeting room on Avery Street.
The agenda will include installation of officers for the year and review of Memorial Day preparations. All members, prospective members and active-duty personnel are invited.
Bridge results
LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Duplicate Bridge Club met on April 28 at the Multi-Purpose Center. Flight A winners were: first, Fred Letourneau and Jeanine Kivus; second, Michael True and Lucille Theriault; third, Jan Arey and Linda Leotoski; fourth, Nancy Farmer and Marta Clements. Winner in Flight B were Nancy Farmer and Marta Clements. Another game will be played at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 5, at the center.
The club also met on April 29 at Schooner Estates in Auburn. Winners in Flight A were: first, Les Buzzell and Misha Tomic; tied at second, Alberta Turner and Lucille Bilodeau with David Lock and Martine Begert; fourth, Michael Quinn and Michael True. Flight B winners were Alberta Turner and Lucille Bilodeau. Another game will be played at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, at Schooner Estates.
