Already softball season has begun! This year, Elm Street School’s softball team will be coached by Miss McNally. She is an Ed-tech at our school and has coached soccer, basketball, and now softball! She is a truly amazing coach and anyone can tell how much she cares for the team. On or off the field, she is always quick to get in a smile or a hello. Her dreams, as well as mine, are big for the team. I think that we will do a fantastic job this season and I can’t wait for our first game.

April 28, 2009 will be the day wheen it all begins. By then, I know we will be ready to play some serious ball, for it already looks like it now. There are 14 girls on the team, consisting of sixth, seventh, and eighth graders. Ware all determined to have a fun, team building year and are excited to win some games. I believe that most of the team has played the sport before, but there are a few who are new to it all. Which, in my mind, is great! I love it when people go out of their comfort zone and try something new. I truly admire people like that because, for me, I know it would be difficult I am one who is not easy to go with change and I like to keep my steady routine. So, I would really like to encourage all who read this to try something new, hop out of your safety net and grasp a new talent or desire! What’s the worst thing that could happen?
