AUBURN – Pepsi defeated Pat’s Pizza, 16-15, in a slugfest on opening day of Auburn Suburban Little League major division softball. Brooke Bray pitched and had two hits, including a key triple in the bottom of the sixth inning, and scored four runs. Calli and Molly Murray combined for five hits and eight runs scored to push Pepsi. Danielle Rock homered and scored four runs for Pat’s.

LEWISTON – Mike Morin’s Auto started the Elliot Ave. Little League baseball season with an extra-inning win over Healey.
Caleb Dostie pitched three strong innings to start things out with Lucas Rushton and Luc Dostie entering in relief. Morin’s also had great fielding efforts from Bryan Bonenfant, Cam Bedard and some circus grabs from Dixon DiLodovico behind home plate.
John Sturgis helped out with a key RBI late in the game. Healey’s battled all the way through the game with very strong pitching from Chad Hinkley, Matt Poulin and Jason Gonzalez.
