SOUTH BERWICK (AP) – Police in South Berwick say a two-car collision resulted in all six people involved being sent to area hospitals.

The accident happened Tuesday afternoon when a car traveling south on a local street crossed into the path of a one traveling north. Both cars were sent spinning to opposite sides of the street, the Portsmouth Herald reports.

Police said 72-year-old Paul Roux of Dover, N.H., was the driver of the first car and had four adult passengers.

They said 53-year-old Douglas Duval of Buxton, was the other driver.

The conditions of the six were not available Tuesday night, but South Berwick police officer Dennis Gaffney said the fact that all six were transported illustrated the seriousness of the accident.
