BETHEL – The Mahoosuc Community Band will present its spring concert at 7 p.m. Monday, May 11, at the West Parish Congregational Church.

The concert will include “Pictures of an Exhibition,” “Voyageurs” by Pierre La Plante, “A Tribute to George Harrison” and other favorites. In addition, Marion Hotopp, a senior at Telstar High School, will play a horn solo, accompanied by Lynn Arizzi. Hotopp is planning to go to Potsdam in the fall to study professional music.

Refreshments will be available after the concert.

The band is preparing for the summer, with Memorial Day parades, Mollyockett Day parade and concert, a music festival in Waterford on July 26 and an end-of-the-summer concert in Bethel.

The band rehearses at 7 p.m. Mondays at the West Parish Congregational Church. New members are welcome. Young people from area middle schools or high schools are welcome to join the band for the summer.
