OXFORD – The Rock-O-Dundee Riders snowmobile club is holding a dance Saturday, May 16, to raise money for scholarships and the building fund.

The club is combining its annual Scholarship Dance, normally held in February, and its Cabin Fever Dance held in the spring, due to a scheduling conflict with the BelAirs band last winter.

The dance will be held from 8 p.m. to midnight at the Silver Spur in Mechanic Falls.

Each year the Rock-O-Dundee Riders give two $500 scholarships to deserving college-bound students. And last year, the club held a Cabin Fever Dance in May when money was needed to cover extra grooming expenses and higher gas prices.

Any money raised beyond scholarship needs will go toward the building fund. The clubhouse on Paine Road in East Oxford needs a drilled well and septic system.

There will be a 50/50 raffle and the lunch bar will be open. The admission is $10 a person. Tickets will be available at the door.

For reservations, phone Suzanne at 539-2616 or Ann at 539-2322.
