Chapter Martel

LEWISTON – Chapter Martel, Association Canado-Americaine, will meet at 1:15 p.m. Monday, May 11, in the Club 50 Room. Those wishing may attend a noon meal at Campus Cuisine, Campus Avenue. Officers and participants should note the change of schedule.

Post to install

AUBURN – Post 31, American Legion and Auxiliary will gather Monday, May 11, for a supper, meeting and installation of officers.

Supper will be served starting at 6 p.m., with the joint meeting of members and the Auxiliary starting at 7.

Last month the nominating committee presented a slate of officers. Nominations will still be accepted and following the closing, an election will be held.

The installation will take place immediately after, with K.I. Owens as installing officer. Owens is a national executive committeeman and Maine department service officer, with his office at Togus.

All members of Post 31 and Auxiliary members are urged to attend. Those not members of the Legion, but who are eligible to join, are welcome to attend.

Phone workshop

LEWISTON – “Managing Treatment-Related Rash and Dry Skin” will be the topic of a free telephone education workshop from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 15, sponsored by the Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing at Central Maine Medical Center.

The teleconference, offered by CancerCare Connect, will include current information about treating rashes and dry skin that are the result of cancer treatments.

Senior trips

LEWISTON – The Lewiston Senior Citizens have announced the following trip schedule:

May 27: “Chorus Line” at the Ogunquit Playhouse; June 19: Best of Times dinner/show, Randolph, Mass.; July 9: Tall Ships in Boston Harbor cruise; July 22: “Guys and Dolls,” Ogunquit Playhouse; Aug. 26: Downeast Duck Tour, Portland.
