BRUNSWICK – Anita A. Vance, 89, died Thursday, May 7, at the Mid Coast Senior Health Center on Baribeau Drive.

She was formerly of Rumford and was residing on Cumberland Street, Brunswick.

She was born in Waterville, on April 29, 1920, the daughter of Adelard and Ida (LaPierre) Paquette, and had attended Waterville schools.

She had worked as a waitress in many restaurants over the years. She was a communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior in Rumford, former member and past president of the Rumford Falls Aerie 1248, FOE Auxiliary; member of LaParesseux Snowshoe Club; and she loved doing crafts.

She was married in Waterville, on April 15, 1939, to Milton R. Vance, who died on Nov. 20, 1982, in Milford, Conn.

Survivors include daughters, Donna Worcester and husband, Stephen, of Zephyrhills, Fla., Janet Bradley and husband, Herbert, of Brunswick and Priscilla Ruff and husband, Roger, of Harpswell; sons, Robert Vance and wife, Susan, of East Haven, Conn., Peter Vance and wife, Alice, of Rumford, Milton Vance Jr. of Fairfield, Conn., Gerald Vance of Bethlehem, Conn., and Lee Vance and wife, Ellen, of East Haven, Conn.; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
