I was astounded at the poor performance demonstrated by Auburn Rep. Brian Bolduc, relative to merit pay for teachers.
Of all the teachers I have known in my lifetime, I have yet to find a teacher who is reluctant to tout his or her performance as a teacher.
From the articles written, and Bolduc’s response, it seems obvious to me that he is using his elected position to propose a bill that would help himself. That’s not the way things are done by real people in Maine.
If Bolduc wishes to teach in Maine, he has to become certified and then present his credentials and convince a hiring authority he’s the best candidate for the position. Perhaps he shouldn’t be in a representative position, either.
