Mekhan Mumin, of Lewiston, gets her garden ready for planting at the Packard-Littlefield Farm in Lisbon on Friday. Leased land is divided up amongst farmers who originate from Guatemala, Somalia and Sudan through the New American Sustainable Agriculture Project. Some of the food that Mumin will harvest will be available at farm markets in Lewiston and Portland this summer.
