LEESBURG, FLA. – Charles “Bill” Howes, 78, of Livermore and Leesburg, Fla., died on May 7, at Leesburg Regional Memorial Hospital.

He attended schools in Jay and served in the Army during the Korean War. He was married to Kay Scully.

Bill became a successful businessman as owner of B & E Enterprises. He was a father figure to all of his nieces and nephews, who loved him dearly. He and Kay were also blessed to have many cherished friendships.

He is survived by his daughter, Kathy and her husband, Paul; his grandchildren, Nathan, Amber and Seth; a new great-grandchild, Wyatt; and a brother, Kenneth Howes of Jay.

He was predeceased by his wife, Kay; a brother, Reginald Howes; and a sister, Margaret “Peggy” Decker.
