CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — New Hampshire Fish and Game Department officers are searching for two Maine hikers in Chatham.

WMWV reports Wednesday the search for the two women is concentrated in the Baldface Mountain area in the White Mountains near the Maine-New Hampshire border.

Fish and Game spokeswoman Jane Vachon identifies the women as Hannah Groom and Shannon Episcopo, both in their early 20s.

Vachon said they were due to return from a hike Tuesday. Their vehicle was found in North Chatham by the father of one of the women.
