Pre-kindergarten students Khaliana Lever, left, David Darling, Karsyn Voisine and Paige Pomerleau dance to a healthy lifestyle message during an assembly at Farwell Elementary School in Lewiston on Wednesday. The Lewiston School Department is celebrating its first-ever Wellness Week. The performance duo Julie & Brownie gave a 40-minute concert that focused on healthy eating and lifestyle decisions. Each school in Lewiston received a $1,000 grant from the John Gorman Foundation to promote health, said district wellness coordinator Regis Beaulieu. Lever, Darling, Voisine and Pomerleau are students in Leela Lord’s classroom.
