LEWISTON – Stanley L. Castner, 94, of 1354 Turner St., Auburn, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, at Central Maine Medical Center.
He was born in Warren, March 11, 1915, the son of the late Eliah Roslyn Castner and Abbie L. Rollins. He was brought up in Waldoboro and graduated from Waldoboro High School.
He was married Dec. 22, 1935 to Ruth E. Rines. He and his wife owned and operated Ja-Lynne Mobile Home Court at 1350 Turner St.
He was a member of Court Street Baptist Church, member and past master of Ashlar Lodge 105 AF & AM and a member of the degree team as well as Kora Shrine, where he was a 32nd degree Mason.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 74 years, Ruth of Auburn; two sons, Larry Castner and wife, Patricia, of Minot and Wayne Castner and wife, Sally, of Anthem, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a brother, Ernest Castner.
