BOWDOIN — Randy and Lisa Gagne of Oakland are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Gagne, to Jeremy Obptande, son of David and Deborah Obptande of Bowdoin.
The future bride is a graduate of Messalonskee High School in Oakland and is pursuing a liberal studies degree at the University College of Bangor. She is employed at Pacific Sunwear in Bangor.
The future bridegroom is a 2003 graduate of Mt. Ararat High School in Topsham and is enrolled in the business management program at the University College of Bangor. He is employed at the Holiday Inn in Bangor.
An Aug. 14, 2010 wedding is planned.
