LEWISTON – Police on Saturday arrested a registered sex offender who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman and a child.

Joshua Abraham Whitlock, 30, of 850 Main St., Lewiston, was arrested at his home Saturday afternoon and charged with one count of sexual exploitation of a minor, two counts of gross sexual assault against an adult and three counts of gross sexual assault against a child under 12. Lewiston police said they were still investigating.

Whitlock is listed on Maine’s sex offender registry for sexually assaulting a child under 14. He was being held at the Androscoggin County Jail on $50,000 cash bail, police said. He was also being held on a probation hold.
