NORWAY – Norway Council 5515, Knights of Columbus, recently donated proceeds from its annual Tootsie Roll drive to the Progress Center.

Deb Anthony, center executive director, accepted the donation on behalf of Tree Works, a division of the center.

Tree Works, a group of clients who specialize in making handcrafted wooden cutting boards, is a learning, teaching and work program to provide developmentally challenged individuals served by the Progress Center an opportunity to learn a skill, be gainfully employed and become productive members of their community.

John Ryley of the Norway Council spoke on the significance of supporting local residents, especially those with limited funds and disabilities.

He also said the Knights of Columbus is working to increase the membership in the Norway Council.
