DURHAM – A Sabattus woman escaped injury in a hit-and-run accident Sunday night at the intersection of Quaker Meetinghouse Road and Route 125.
According to the investigating officer, Maine State Trooper Elgin Physic, Rachel Turmenne, 41, was driving south on Route 125.
A pickup truck approaching from the opposite direction made a left turn in front of her vehicle, colliding with her car.
The driver of the dark-colored Chevrolet pickup left the scene, leaving behind a piece of the front bumper.
Damage to Turmenne’s 2008 Nissan Sentra was estimated at $4,000 in the 9:25 p.m. crash.
