RUMFORD – Beatrice A. Gill, 71, of Peru, died Tuesday, May 19, at the Rumford Hospital.

She was born on Sept. 15, 1937, in Roxbury, the daughter of William F. and Annie R. (Hickey) Touchette. She attended Mexico schools, graduating from Mexico High School in 1954.

On Sept. 24, 1955, she married Kenneth M. Gill. She and her husband made their home in Peru, where she worked the majority of her life as a loving homemaker to her husband and children. She did work for a few years outside the home at the Dixfield Post Office.

She attended the Rumford Baptist Church for many years. As a younger woman, she helped with Girl and Boy scouts. She enjoyed playing beano, ceramics and traveling.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth of Peru; children, Kenneth and his wife, Judy, of Peru, Larry of Peru, Ricky of Peru and Vicki Gill of Mexico; two brothers, Ronald Touchette of Roxbury and Maynard Touchette and his wife, Anna, of Peru; a sister, Nancy Patenaude of Peru; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Bradley; and a sister, Sandy.
