Grange meeting

LIVERMORE – New Norlands Grange will meet at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 30, at the hall, for the community service program to honor Sherry Judd as the 2009 recipient. Judd was instrumental in getting the Heritage Paper Museum off the ground. There will be music, refreshments, dancing and socializing throughout the evening. All are welcome.

Plant, yard sale

FARMINGTON – A yard and plant sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday, June 5 and 6, at the Holman Parish House, next door to the Old South First Congregational Church on Main Street.

The yard sale will feature household items, tools, furniture, recreational equipment, musical instruments, kayaks, toys, books, games, CDs, collectibles and more. The plant sale will feature locally grown perennials of all kinds, herbs and house plants. Proceeds will benefit Old South Church community service, outreach and youth programs.

Empty bowls

PHILLIPS – Mt. Abram pottery students will host an empty bowls supper from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, at Phillips Elementary School, to benefit local food pantries.

For a donation, $8 recommended, attendees will receive a handmade bowl, to take home, full of soup. There will also be bread, dessert and a beverage. The meal will be prepared by the Lighthouse Christian Church.
