LEWISTON – Lewiston picked up a pair of recent eighth-grade middle school baseball victories, 13-1 over Mt. Ararat and 14-2 over Tripp.

Tyler Thanephonsey pitched a two-hit complete game for Lewiston against Mt. Ararat. Leading hitters were Alex Small, Cam Marquis and Brendan Rac. Andrew Butler made some terrific defensive plays behind the plate. Ryan Drouin was the top player for Mt. Ararat.

Will Desmarais allowed only one hit in earning the pitching victory over Tripp. Brian Wigant tossed an inning of relief. Desmarais, Tom Hird and Eric Soucy were repeat hitters for Lewiston. Bryan Hall also belted a double. Tyler Hutchinson was Tripp’s leading hitter.
