Park is open
BETHEL – Angevine Park and swim pond, located on the North Road 2.2 miles from Route 2, is open for the season daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is free.
A few posted park rules are enforced. These rules include no dogs, no alcohol and no tobacco. For more information, call 824-2669.
Spaghetti dinner
NORWAY – A spaghetti dinner, a fundraiser for the Progress Center Special Olympics Team, will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 28, at the First Universalist Church, 479 Main St. Cost is $3 a person.
All proceeds will support the Special Olympic team with their “quest for the gold” when they participate the summer games in Orono. For more information, call 743-8049, ext. 233.
Plant sale
OTISFIELD – The Otisfield Volunteer Firefighter Association will hold a perennial plant sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, May 31, at the Spurr’s Corner fire station on Route 121.
With more than 15 gardens donating from Otisfield and beyond, many of the plants are mature in gallon-size containers or larger. There will be an information table about skin cancer prevention. There will also be a garden theme basket raffle.
Church sale
TURNER – A lawn sale, sponsored by the Hartford Community Church, will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 30, at Goodwin Well Drilling, Route 4, North Turner. For more information or to donate items, contact Jerry Marstaller at 224-7623.

Annual dinner
WEST PARIS – The West Paris Historical Society will have its annual baked bean and casserole dinner with homemade rolls and pies to start off the Old Home Days weekend at 5:30 p.m. Friday, June 5. The cost is $7 for adults and $3 for ages 12 and under.
