IRVING, Texas (AP) – Rory Sabbatini won the Byron Nelson Championship on Sunday for his fifth PGA Tour title, closing with a 6-under 64 to break the tournament scoring record and hold off late-charging Brian Davis by two strokes.

Sabbatini finished at 19-under 261 at TPC Four Seasons Resort Las Colinas to break the tournament mark of 18 under set by Loren Roberts and playoff loser Steve Pate in 1999 – when the Cottonwood Valley course also was used the first two days.

Sabbatini, a South African based in Fort Worth, earned $1.17 million for his first victory since the 2007 Colonial in Fort Worth.

Davis also shot a 64. D.A. Points (65) was third at 16 under, and Scott McCarron (62) and Dustin Johnson (66) followed at 15 under.

Senior PGA Championship

BEACHWOOD, Ohio (AP) – Michael Allen ended his long victory drought with two late birdies, shooting a 3-under 67 to hold off Larry Mize by two shots in the Senior PGA Championship – the first Champions Tour major of the season.

Winless in two decades on the PGA Tour, Allen won in his senior debut. He opened with rounds of 74, 66 and 67 and finished at 6-under 274 on the Canterbury course.

Allen became only the fourth player to win a major championship in his Champions Tour debut, joining Roberto De Vicenzo (1980 U.S. Senior Open), Arnold Palmer (1980 Senior PGA) and Jack Nicklaus (1990 Tradition).

Bruce Fleisher (67) was third at 3 under. Tom Watson had the low round of the day – a 66 – to finish fourth at even par.

LPGA Corning Classic

CORNING, N.Y. (AP) – Taiwan’s Yani Tseng won the final LPGA Corning Classic when South Korea’s Soo-Yun Kang missed a 3-foot par putt on the final hole.

The 20-year-old Tseng, the 2008 McDonald’s LPGA Championship and LPGA rookie of the year, closed with a 5-under 67 for a 21-under 267 total, a stroke ahead of Kang (69) and Paula Creamer (65). Tseng opened with rounds of 68 and 70 and matched the Corning Country Club record with a 62 on Saturday.

Japanese rookie Mika Miyazato (70) was fourth at 19 under, and Song-Hee Kim (67), Ai Miyazato (68), Sandra Gal (69) and Vicky Hurst (69) were 17 under.

Michelle Wie (67) tied for 26th at 13 under.

BMW PGA Championship

VIRGINIA WATER, England (AP) – Paul Casey won the BMW PGA Championship for his third victory of the year and the No. 3 spot in the world ranking, birdieing the final two holes for a one-stroke victory over English countryman Ross Fisher.

Casey, also the 2006 World Match Play Championship winner at Wentworth, had a 17-under 271 total on the “Burma Road” layout. He also won the European tour’s Abu Dhabi Championship and the PGA Tour’s Houston Open this year.

Casey opened the season 41st in the world. Trailing only Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, he’s the highest-ranked British player since Scotland’s Colin Montgomerie was at No. 3 at the start of the decade.

Fisher finished with a 64.
