RUMFORD – A Mass of Christian Burial for Stella Volkernick was celebrated at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 23, at Parish of the Holy Savior. The Rev. James Martel was the celebrant. George Gionet was the altar server. Mark Belanger was the organist. Music selections were “Sissy’s Songs” by Alan Jackson, “Ave Maria,” “Amazing Grace,” “How Great Thou Art” and “Mother at Thy Feet is Kneeling.” The eulogy was given by her granddaughter, Joanne Smith. Pallbearers were Maryann Burns, Valerie Volkernick, Paul Volkernick Jr., Peter Volkernick, Jim Volkernick, Jamie Volkernick and Julie Allison. Interment was in St. John Cemetery.
