Dear Sun Spots: We are looking for yard sale items for a benefit yard sale June 19 and 20 for Tommy’s Feral Feline Friends to be held in Greene. Tommy’s is a local nonprofit organization that is presently caring for more than 400 feral cats scattered throughout this county.

They trap, neuter and release, medicate and pay for veterinary care when needed. Not to mention feeding over 400 cats daily from daybreak until way after most of us are fast asleep in our beds.

If you have even one pet, you know how expensive this becomes. We are asking for your clean and unwanted items for this event. They have requested no large items or clothing. Please call Norm at 650-8374 for pickup. Thank you. – Jeanne, Greene.

Dear Sun Spots: On Feb. 22, we went to a World Marriage Day celebration at Holy Family Church that we enjoyed very much. The Rev. Joseph Daniels officiated and Monsignor Marc Caron came to each table to congratulate each couple. Thank you to all who had a part in organizing such a great event. What we would like is to hear from the photographer who took pictures of each couple and then a group picture.

We are sure that many who were there are also hoping to buy pictures. Thank you. – No Name, Lewiston.

Answer:
Sun Spots corresponded with Janet Beaulieu, who told us that the photographs will be available from volunteer photographer Mark Labonte shortly, and she will mail copies to the couples. Due to unexpected circumstances, he was unable to process the photos right away. They apologize for the lateness. Both Beaulieu and Labonte appreciate the patience of those waiting for their pictures.

Dear Sun Spots: Our thank you to the Strong ATV club for their efforts to take trash off of our town roads. We saw them out during the week picking up trash along the roads and also on a Saturday. Thank you. – A Strong citizen.
