Crash

On May 18 at 1:35 p.m., a 1999 Ford owned and operated by Alfreda Cote, 78, of Dixfield was stopped at Lincoln Avenue preparing to turn left onto Franklin Street. A 1985 Chevrolet pickup owned and operated by Robert Jones, 37, of Mexico was traveling up Lincoln Avenue and the two vehicles collided. There was approximately $2,500 damage to the Cote vehicle and $3,000 to the Jones vehicle.

Criminal mischief

On May 18 at 1:06 p.m., a Front Street resident reported the hinges taken off the door of her residence. Case under investigation.

Theft

On May 18 at 7:49 a.m., Rumford Taxi Co. had one of its taxis stolen. It was recovered undamaged in Mexico. Case is under investigation.

On May 19 at 6:35 p.m., a Maple Street resident reported theft of a Tony Hawk BMX valued at $100 from an open garage. Case is under investigation.

On May 20 at 5:30 p.m., Mountain Valley High School reported someone took down the American flag and left it on the ground and took the Maine state flag. The Maine flag was later recovered. Case is under investigation.

On May 20 at 8:21 a.m., an Erchles Street resident reported someone entered her vehicle and stole an ATM debit card and AAA card. Case is under investigation.

On May 20 at 7:40 p.m., a Erchles Street resident reported someone entered her vehicle and stole two CDs and $7 in change. Case is under investigation.

On May 20 at 7:40 p.m., a Beliveau Road resident reported the theft of her ATM card. The suspect withdrew $300. Case is under investigation.

On May 23 at 1:10 p.m., a Mexico business reported someone failed to pay $300 for delivery services. Case is under investigation.

On May 24 at 7:26 a.m., a Whippoorwill Road resident reported theft of a homemade blue Moose sign valued at $100. Case is under investigation.

Wanted

Terra Tidswell, 41, of Rumford is wanted on a warrant for unpaid fines for operating after license suspension.
