BANGOR (AP) – A Bangor International Airport official says Continental Airlines is delaying by more than a month its plan to end twice-daily flights from Bangor to Newark, N.J.

Airport Director Rebecca Hupp told the Bangor Daily News that Continental will continue service to July 31, rather than June 21 as previously announced.

The airline said it decided to drop the Bangor service to ease congestion in Newark.
