NORTH TURNER – Public supper season is under way for the North Turner Presbyterian Church and members will be doing the annual traditional ham supper from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 30, at the GAR Hall, Route 219.
Along with baked ham, the supper will feature sweet potato dishes, vegetables and salads as well as homemade bread and desserts, including pies, cakes and strawberry trifle. There will be a donation basket at the door.
This season’s suppers, all held at the GAR Hall, are as follows:
Friday, June 26, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., cookbook tasting supper and yearly “Welcome Back to Bear Pond.”
Saturday, Aug. 22, 4 to 7 p.m., annual chicken barbecue featuring “to go” meals for summer outings.
Saturday, Oct. 17, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., annual harvest supper featuring turkey and all the fixin’s.
All are welcome.
The church has opened a new Sunday school and all children are welcome.
The children attend worship service, which begins at 9 a.m., for about 10 minutes, then go downstairs to Sunday school. For more information, call Pastor Ann Marie Simone at 754-2294.
