FARMINGTON – Louise Knowlton, 87, a resident of Livermore Falls, passed away Wednesday, May 27, at Franklin Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Livermore Falls, the daughter of Elton E. and Muriel (Shaw) Pomeroy. She was married to Alpheus Stuart Knowlton for 66 years.

She worked for Dr. Roger Perron, DDS and also at Livermore Shoe Company in Livermore Falls and Bass Shoe Company in Wilton.

After her retirement, she ran the Dutch Barn Antiques Shop at their home in East Livermore.

She is survived by her husband, Al of Livermore Falls; her son, Wayne Stuart Knowlton and his wife, Patricia, of Livermore Falls; her daughter, Carla Elaine Lathe and her husband, David, of Hallowell; five grandchildren, Rick Knowlton and his wife, Debbie, of Bath, Kelly Barry and her husband, David, of Portland, Kurt Knowlton and his companion, Kim Gosselin, of Auburn, Kimberly Lucas and her husband, David, of Mt. Vernon and Andrew Lathe and his wife, Loretta, of Augusta; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was predeceased by her parents and her brothers, Mellon Pomeroy and Carl Pomeroy.
