PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — The Portland Sea Dogs have their own version of the Green Monster in left field that invites comparisons to Boston’s Fenway Park. Now, the new NBA D-League team in Maine is showing off its parquet floor that mimics the one that the Boston Celtics play on.

The Maine Red Claws say the floor is being installed Thursday at the Portland Exposition Building and will be unveiled to the media that day.

The Development League, which serves as a feeder league to the NBA, is slated to announce the Red Claws’ NBA affiliation this summer. Just as the Sea Dogs are affiliated with the Red Sox, all signs point to a Red Claws link to the Celtics.

The parquet floor also will be available for play by the Portland High School Bulldogs.
