WINTHROP – Travis Luce belted a home run and a double and picked up the pitching victory for unbeaten Winthrop in a 18-8 Apple Valley Babe Ruth baseball victory over Greene.

Jim Theriault also homered for Winthrop (2-0). Carl Glazier cracked a single and a double. Zach Glazier singled twice. Brandon McDonald slapped two singles to lead Greene. Christian Fullerton, Sam Godfrey and Tyler Sirois each added a base hit.
