AUBURN – In recognition of National Trails Day, Saturday, June 6, LA Trails, a program of the Androscoggin Land Trust, is encouraging people to get outside and enjoy a favorite trail.
Representatives from the program will lead a hike and workday at the Mount Apatite trails. The 325-acre park features miles of four-season multi-purpose trails for hikers, runners, wildlife watchers, rock hounds, bikers and other trail users.
Participants will be able to hike, clean up trash, mark and blaze trails and help to share ideas for future improvements to those trails. Those attending should meet at 9 a.m. at the Small Road entrance and allow three hours, rain or shine.
