LYNN, Mass. (AP) – Lynn police are offering a $7,000 reward for tips leading to the return of a Lynn boy who has been missing since August.

Lynn Police Captain Mark O’Toole said in a statement Saturday that 5-years-old Giovanni Gonzalez was 4-feet-tall, weighed 40 pounds, and was wearing a red shirt, blue jeans, and Spider-Man sandals when he was last seen.

The boy’s father, Ernesto Gonzalez Jr., has pleaded not guilty to charges of parental kidnapping and misleading police related to the disappearance.

Giovanni’s mother, Daisy Colon, has raised $2,000 for the reward. The Carole Sund/Carrington Foundation, a Modesto, Calif. group that works to publicize missing person cases, donated an additional $5,000.
