WALES – Webster Lodge 164, AF and AM, will hold a special communication at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 4, at the Lodge, 322 Centre Road, to confer the Entered Apprentice Degree on three candidates.

A 6:30 p.m. casserole supper will precede the degree work. All regular Masons are invited to attend.

The ladies program for that night has been postponed until the fall due to scheduling problems.

The Lodge Temple Association will host a lawn sale at Fox Run Homes, Route 126, Lewiston, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 13.

Members are asked to round up salable items for the event and bring them to the sale.

Yardscape class

WOOLWICH – The Nequasset Lake Watershed Improvement Project-Phase I steering committee and Androscoggin Valley Soil and Water Conservation District are hosting a free yardscaping workshop from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 6, at the Bath Water District Plant on Nequasset Road.

Megan Wooster of the Androscoggin Valley Soil and Water Conservation District will teach participants how to yardscape.

Those attending will also learn how to deal with nuisance pests and plants in an eco-friendly way.

The workshop is free, but preregistration is required by Thursday, June 4.

Lottery changed

AUBURN – The Auburn School Department has rescheduled the prekindergarten lottery for 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, at Auburn Hall in the Community Room.

The lottery, for families that reside in Auburn, is for entrance into the programs at Sherwood Heights, Fairview and Park Avenue Elementary Schools.
