AUGUSTA (AP) – Gov. John Baldacci has signed into law a bill to allow military members, veterans and their families free admission to state parks and historic sites.

Under the bill signed Thursday by the governor, military members can be issued free passes through June 2014. The bill takes effect in time for the summer season.
