PORTLAND (AP) – An Exeter, N.H., man accused of a string of burglaries and arsons in Maine earlier this year is scheduled to plead guilty to multiple felonies at a June 16 hearing in U.S. District Court.
Twenty-nine-year-old Everett Stickney appeared in court Monday to hear the charges and waive formal indictment. The Portland Press Herald said Judge D. Brock Hornby agreed to the arrangement that had been made by prosecution and defense lawyers.
Stickney was charged Monday with setting fires at commercial buildings in Yarmouth and York in January and with being a felon in possession of a firearm in March in Portsmouth, N.H.
He is being held in New Hampshire in lieu of $350,000 cash bail.
