FREEPORT – There will be a special meeting of Durham-Freeport-Pownal
school board at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Freeport High School
cafeteria.
On the agenda will be the adoption of the proposed
2009-10 budget, which will be presented at the Regional School Unit 5
annual budget meeting on June 16.
Final adoption of the budget will be at a referendum in each town June 25.
An
executive session will be held to discuss employment of administrators.
This will be followed in open session to consider a proposal to
authorize the superintendent of schools to issue contracts.
The new school district begins operations July 1.
