LEWISTON – The Senior College “Food for Thought” luncheon program series at USM’s Lewiston-Auburn College on Friday, June 12, will feature a presentation by Hugh Keene on the several theories of the structure of the atom from those of the early Greeks to the currently accepted model, along with the history of scientific thought in atomic theory.
Keene is a retired educator and former chairman of the science department at Edward Little High School. He is chairman of the Senior College board of directors and has been a frequent course presenter.
Senior College, now celebrating its 10th year, presents the monthly noon luncheon program in the Function Room 170 at USM/L-A.
The cost, which includes lunch, is $7 with advance reservation or $8 at the door, opening at 11:30 a.m.
Reservations must be made no later than Thursday, June 11, by phone at 753-6510.
Any late callers will be considered as “at the door.”
