AUBURN – A memorial Mass was celebrated Monday morning for Thomas French at Sacred Heart Church, following prayers at The Fortin Group Funeral Home. The Rev. Frank Murray celebrated the Mass and recited committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery. At the conclusion of the Mass, eulogies and words of remembrance were given by his daughter, Brittney French, brother, Dennis French, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Michael and Melissa Rancourt and a special poem was read at the cemetery by his wife, Michele.

Traffic escorts for the funeral procession from the funeral home to the church and from church to the cemetery were provided by the Auburn Police Department, Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Department. and the Lewiston Police Department. A memorial tribute at the Auburn Public Works Department was provided, which included entire staff and equipment lining Gracelawn Road, with a large American flag overhead as the procession passed by. Urn bearers were Michael Rancourt, Tom Masters, Scott French and Dennis French.
