LEWISTON – Chapter Martel of Association Canado-Americaine will have its last meeting of the season at 1:15 p.m. Monday, June 8, in the Club 50 Room at Campus Cuisine, 99 Campus Ave.
Participating members and officers may have a meal prior to meeting at the the cafeteria.
Red hatters
LEWISTON – The Foxy Red Hatters of Lewiston will have a barbecue at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 9, for chapter members. It will be held at the residence of Irene Thibodeau, 15 Louise Ave.
An open house for all Red Hat Society members will follow until 3 p.m. Clem Clements of the Red Hat Society Auxiliary will attend the lunch and open house.
Golden Age club
AUBURN – The Sacred Heart Golden Age Club will meet at noon Tuesday, June 9, for a dinner in the church hall. A meeting will follow at 1 p.m. Call Paula on June 7 or 8 for reservations at 576-4082. Members are asked to bring nonperishable foods for the food pantry.
Bridge results
LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Duplicate Bridge Club met on June 2 at the Multi-Purpose Center. Winners in flight A were: first, Jeanine Kivus and Martine Begert; second, Nancy Lindgren Les Buzzell; third, Luke Merry and Mike Quinn; fourth, Patricia Garcia and David Lock; fifth, Linda Leotsakos and Jan Arey. Winners in flight B were: first, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe; second, Alberta Turner and Lucille Bilodeau. Another game will be played at 9 a.m. Tuesday, June 9. The club also met on June 3 at Schooner Estates in Auburn. Winners were: first, Misha Tomic and Rosemarie Goodwin; second, Claire Lyons and Patricia Quinn; third, Luke Merry and Paul Barber; fourth, David Lock and Jeanine Kivus.
The club will meet again at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 10. A partner is guaranteed at both games. For further information, call Lucille Theriault at 783-0431.
Luminaria
AUBURN – The American Cancer Society will conduct its Relay For Life luminaria ceremony at 9:30 p.m. Friday, June 12, to recognize those touched by cancer in Androscoggin County.
Individuals or companies can make contributions in memory of those lost to cancer and in honor of those who have survived. Each will be recognized by a lighted luminaria displayed at the Relay For Life event held at Edward Little High School’s track.
Luminaria contributions can be made by calling the American Cancer Society at 1-800-ACS-2345.
